Swing and Slide External Grey Patio Doors

With over 2 billion active users, Facebook represents a huge potential market for us, but it is well reported that it is becoming increasingly difficult to stand out from the crowd.  Videos are helping to combat this, especially on mobile, and over the past year the time people spent watching Facebook Live every day has increased by four times.  Profix has recently enjoyed its own Facebook video success!  Just before Christmas, we posted a short video of our Swing and Slide doors in action and the engagement has been terrific, with over 282,000 views, 90 shares, 306 comments and 488 likes, our video has reached nearly 500,000 people.

The product speaks for itself

Although this level of engagement is very exciting, it’s no surprise that the Swing and Slide doors generated so much interest.  Regarded as the ultimate patio door, Swing and Slide has a unique action that allows as little or as much of the door set to be opened at any one time.  With the unpredictable UK weather, this means the doors can be used for 52 weeks of the year, rather just a few.

Rather than using a concertina action like the bi-fold which takes up space adjacent to the doors, the swing and slide doors simply swing and slide into place so they can be fully open, fully closed or with panels evenly distributed throughout the aperture to increase airflow in the room while keeping the weather out. The only visible hardware is on the master door (which can be opened independently to the rest of the door set) so when all the doors are closed, they look more like windows or a partition wall.  The action is simple – using only a hidden internal latch fitted and magnetic technology, the remaining panels slide and pivot out to meet the master door which, when open, has a stay open feature to stay secure against wind.  This means the doors are stacked away and there is absolutely no encroachment on the area around the main aperture, so furniture can be placed up against them if desired.
