Alcon building

The home of Alcon Components Ltd has recently undergone a full office refurbishment, which included a window replacement programme carried out by Profix.  Alcon, established by engineer and sports car racer John Moore, has gone from making brakes for Audi Sport’s Group B Quattro rally cars to providing braking solutions for the top echelons of motorsports, all from their factory and HQ in Tamworth.

To better accommodate the growing team and to make use of their full office space, part of which was derelict, the company carried out a full refurbishment of the two-storey office building attached to their warehouse and factory.  This included the replacement of 42 windows with new, energy efficient PVC-U windows as well as a new front door.  Stephanie Folks from Alcon managed the renovation and comments: “Trying to operate ‘business as usual’ around a full office refurbishment is a tough task but it is made far easier by dealing with excellent suppliers like Profix.

“From the outset, the Profix team were knowledgeable and helped us decide on the best windows to fit within our budget. We wanted to reflect the company’s brand in the refit and Profix provided us with samples to aid our decision making.  We settled on grey for the outside and white inside.  When it came to the installation, the team were efficient and tidy. Communication was great throughout which made my job much easier.

“We really love our new office space, it’s modern and warm and an even better place to work!  We would thoroughly recommend Profix.”
