mr bingham doors

Name: Mr Bingham

Location: Kent

Product: 7 pane Black Swing and Slide Door with 2 traffic doors

Objective: Mr Bingham, from Kent approached us to help him achieve a solution to an extension, he wanted to create an open area for two rooms in his home. These were two separate internal rooms separated by a partitioned plaster board. In order to open up the space in both internal spaces our Swing and Slide doors were the solution.

We have created patio doors that do not compromise any space in the home but open up the area. Our doors allow natural light to enter the home, this automatically creates a better atmosphere and makes the space seem bigger. The design of Swing and Slide doors enables one to move the panels across any way preferred which makes them unique as you don’t have to have all the doors open if you don’t want.

Solution: To provide a flexible solution for Mr Bingham we designed the patio doors to cover both internal rooms. Each side would open in its own individual way to ensure you are able to decide whether or not you want just one room to be opened up or both. The system was created with the client’s needs in mind and therefore, we created two traffic doors, one at each end. This enables one to open each section up individually from the two separate internal rooms. The doors were in the colour black, as requested by our client, as he wanted a classy modern look.
We also incorporated trickle vents for each internal room with a background ventilation, this is to enable sufficient airflow within the home and comply with regulations.

Result: Mr Bingham was very pleased with the result once completed. The structure we created was with 5 sliding doors to the right and 2 to the left meeting at the junction which provides the room divider. As the doors are open it provides an open space for both internal rooms. This was a huge success enabling Mr Bingham to create the space planned for his social events.
